Past Presentations
Rose Senior gives presentations, talks, seminars and workshops at academic or teacher-oriented conferences on a wide range of aspects of language teaching. Her topics and themes fall within the broad framework of class-centred teaching.
Rose also offers professional development activities worldwide. She encourages local organizations to liaise with one another over 'pooling' resources and professional development activities in particular countries or regions.
Rose offers talks, seminars and workshops on specific topics listed under 'past presentations', She can also customise presentations and workshops to meet the needs of individual institutions or professional organisations. Customised workshops are an ideal way to address local issues of relevance or concern.
All Rose's presentations and workshops include a theoretical component. Having a theoretical understanding enables language teachers to make informed choices about what kinds of things they might do differently in their classrooms.
The success of professional development programs depends on: (1) establishing realistic goals that are mutually acceptable to management and practitioners; (2) the willingness of participants to take responsibility for their professional development; and (3) the availability of ongoing support.
