The Experience of Language Teaching

Rose Senior's book The Experience of Language Teaching (Cambridge University Press, 2006) brings together her teaching experience, philosophy and research findings. Based on five interlinked studies involving twelve years of research into the teaching and class-management behaviour of 100 experienced language teachers, The Experience of Language Teaching provides a detailed account of teaching and learning in language classrooms.

Although based on research and of interest to researchers, The Experience of Language Teaching has been written in an accessible style with a broad audience in mind. This audience includes novice and experienced teachers, teacher trainers, postgraduate students and anyone interested in finding out what is like to be a language teacher at the present time.
